GSV Capital is an externally managed, non-diversified closed-end management investment company. Co. invests in the equity securities of venture capital-backed companies. Co. acquires its investments through direct investments with prospective portfolio companies, secondary marketplaces for private companies and negotiations with selling stockholders. Co. may also invest in select publicly-traded equity securities or certain non-U.S. companies. Co.'s investment activities are managed by GSV Asset Management, LLC, and GSV Capital Service Company, LLC, which provides administrative services to Co.
